Marliworld is a new recreational hemp products wholesaler from the US. An offshoot of parent company and manufacturer, HempNova, Marliworld represents the playful, recreational face of the enterprise. While creating and launching Marliworld’s new brand look, voice, and online presence, we also took on the crucial aspect of the physical product packaging design. (Psst! Check out our Marliworld brand and website project story here!) Since Marliworld’s products range from gummies and moon rocks, to pre-rolls and vapes, we had a lot to do!
Although no online brand presence existed when Marliworld first approached us, the retail product was already on shelves. This original packaging needed a serious design refresh. Muted with dark or off-brand colours, outdated graphics, awkward spacing, and poor readability, all the packaging elements needed to be addressed. The new packaging had to be recognizable to current customers, attract new consumers, and remain aligned with Marliworld’s new brand look and voice. Disclaimer: We’re still working on updating ALL the packaging on the website. It’s an ongoing process, friends. Stay tuned!
We redesigned the old product packaging with a brighter, more vibrant look. The redesign featured bright colours, optimal white space, playful watermark graphics, dynamic placement, and more. Not only were we able to infuse the packaging with Marliworld’s new brand, we optimized the space to include all the regulated public health information in a clear and fun way.
Marliworld (now a long-term client) is thrilled with the results. The new product packaging was a smash-hit across the White Label World Expo trade show circuit in New York and Frankfurt, Germany. Marliworld was also pleased to experience a sudden increase in sales and retailer demand, after just one trade show rotation with the new packaging. Now that Marliworld has a vibrant, cohesive brand look and voice with product packaging to match, they are well on their way to becoming a top contender in this wildly exciting new industry!
